James Giallanza is an Executive Vice President of Cohen & Steers, Chief Financial Officer for the Cohen & Steers Family of Funds and is responsible for fund administration, operations, tax, performance and client reporting. He has over 25 years of experience in the global investment management industry and has significant experience with a wide range of investment vehicles including registered mutual funds, hedge funds, offshore funds, and bank collective trusts.
Prior to joining Cohen & Steers, James was with Legg Mason, where he served as deputy head of U.S. funds administration and CFO of various mutual funds. Previously, he was a Director and Controller with UBS Global Asset Management, Director with SSB Citi Asset Management, and CFO/Treasurer with Lazard Asset Management.James has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Francis College. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and is a member of the Investment Company Institute’s Accounting/Treasurers committee. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
